Subscribe Why Engagement Photos Aren’t Just Engagement Photos
We include a free Engagement Photo Session whenever we contract with a couple to provide photography services for their wedding. You might imagine that this is just one of those “enticements” to get someone to sign with us, but it’s not. We strongly believe that a good Engagement Photo Session can make for much smoother Wedding Day photography. When we’re doing an engagement photo session we’re learning what the couple is comfortable with, what gets them to relax and enjoy the experience, which poses they like (and from which side), and so on.
When we‚Äôve completed an Engagement Session, Alex and I sit down and write out whatever we‚Äôve learned about the couple. We‚Äôll do this again when we deliver the proofs from the session to the couple. Alex and I will put a lot of time and effort into the post-processing and rendereing of the engagement photos and we’ll create several different styles of photographs, from sepia to ‚Äúcolor on black & white,‚Äù from traditional to contemporary. We do this because the photos the couple ends up liking the most will often give us a good feel for which types of shots we will need to get at their wedding. The day before the couple‚Äôs wedding, Alex and I go over all the notes we‚Äôve taken and we‚Äôll map out our approach to any special shots we need to get.
So, that’s why we always include a free Engagement Photo Session and it’s why our Engagement Photos aren’t just engagement photos.

WOW! Thank you soooo very much, Rhiannon and Alex for the beautiful work you did with our engagement photos! We can not thank you enough for the wonderful and very impressive photo session you gave us!
I would also like to add that I highly recommend your services over any other photographer, because you guys are excellent at listening to your customer’s wants and needs. The free engagement session was just the thing we needed to feel GREAT and less stressed about another wedding detail!
Our free session gave us the confidence to know that our wedding day pictures were going to turn out perfect…and they DID! You guys knew what angles to work with, what lighting was best and which poses were suitable to express our unique feelings on our unique day!
The website was a great idea too! It was the simplest way to share our photos with everyone quickly…even our out of state relatives! All of our family and friends absolutely LOVE our wedding photos, they simply can not get enough of them! We can not thank you guys enough for such a great gift of photo perfection!

The engagement session was a wonderful idea because it gave us one less detail to worry about on our wedding day. We were so impressed with how the engegement photos turned out, that we knew our wedding photos would come out absolutely perfect…and they DID!
All of our family and friends were very impressed with our photos online, they simply can not get enough! It’s like reliving our special memories every time we look at our photos…you guys provided unique photos for a very unique day. We can not thank you enough for the great gift of photo perfection you gave to us!
